Vision development is critical from early childhood. The first eye screening is recommended:
- Between 6–12 months of age
- At age 3 — to check for strabismus and amblyopia
- At age 5–6 — before starting school
Additional visits may be necessary if your child:
- Squints or turns their head to see
- Tilts their head
- Holds books or screens too close
- Frequently rubs their eyes or complains of eye fatigue
Regular check-ups help prevent amblyopia and slow myopia progression.
